Northern Crisis Assessment & Treatment Team

The North East Crisis Assessment & Treatment Service (NECATS) provides a mobile, responsive and accessible assessment service and intensive community based treatment to consumers experiencing a serious psychiatric illness in acute crisis as an alternative to hospitalisation, where possible.

 

CATS is a 24-hour, 7 days a week team of mental health professionals who provide urgent assessment and short-term intensive treatment to people in crisis due to mental illness. The service will organise a hospital admission if necessary.
