Each Term, Banyule Youth Services run a range of in-person and online events & workshops for young people.

$3 Slide Night

Friday 15 September - WaterMarc, Greensborough - 6pm to 9pm
This event is for young people 10-17 years old.
Cost: $3 for unlimited rides on Tantrum Alley and the Pipeline!


Unlimited rides on the waterslides! We'll also have a DJ to get the party started!!
This event is a partnership with WaterMarc.

Monday 18 September - Hoyts Greensborough - 1:00pm - 3:30
This event is for young people 12-25 years old.
Cost: $10 including ticket, small drink, choctop & popcorn.


We have hired out the whole cinema to enjoy this epic tale!

Beginners Dance Workshop

Tuesday 19 September - 1:30pm - 3:30pm - WaterMarc, Greensborough
This FREE event is for young people 12-18 years old.
Barbie fever is not over, so come and join this FREE, fun dance class. Afternoon tea included.

Immersive Worlds

Friday 22 September - Ivanhoe Library - 1pm to 5pm
This FREE event is for young people 12-25 years old.

Explore new worlds through robots, D&D, tabletop/board games, an escape room, and Nintendo Switch on the big screen! This event is a partnership with Yarra Plenty Regional Library

Beginners Boxing Workshop
(for CALD young women)

Monday 25 September - Macleod Recreation Center - 3:45pm to 5:30pm
This FREE event is for young people 12-18 years old.

This FREE boxing workshop will take you through a 60 minute training session including punching techniques, pad work, skipping, running & abdominal work that will make you sweat! BYO towel and waterbottle - gloves provided if you don't have them. Beginners are very welcome!

*CALD= culturally and linguistically diverse

This event is strictly for young people aged 12 - 18. This event is a partnership with Macleod YMCA

Uluru Statement from the Heart & Voice Yarning Circle for young people

Wednesday 27th September - Barrbunin Beek Aboriginal Gathering Place, 55 Catalina St Heidelberg West - 4:30pm to 6:30pm
This FREE event is for all young people 15-25 years old.

Come and speak to local Aboriginal Elders Uncle Charles Pakana and Aunty Shelley Ware to find out more and ask questions in a safe supportive way about the UIuru Statement from the Heart, the Voice to Parliament and the upcoming Referendum.

Social Media Focus Group

Monday 25th September - 1 Flintoff Street Greensborough - 4:30pm to 5:30pm
This opportunity is for young people 12-25 years old.

We are inviting a small group of young people for a one-hour focus group about Social Media. You will be asked to share your thoughts on:
- How young people use social media
- Which social media platforms young people use
- What social media platforms we should use to connect with young people
- Your thoughts on what is positive and negative about social media for young people
In return for attending, you will receive a $20 gift card!

Strictly limited spots available. Light refreshments will be provided.

Vape Focus Group

Wednesday 18th October - 1 Flintoff Street Greensborough - 4:30pm to 5:30pm
This opportunity is for young people 12-25 years old.

We are inviting a small group of young people for a one-hour focus group about VAPES. You will be asked to share your thoughts on:
- Do young people feel that vapes are a positive or negative thing
- What support or education would young people like regarding vapes
- How can we share information about vapes with young people
- Other information you want to share with us or get advice on regarding vapes
This will be a non-judgmental and confidential space - we invite young people who use vapes, do not use vapes or who may have tried them but do not use them regularly to all attend. We want to learn about the way young people use vapes in order to support them with harm-minimisation information.

In return for attending, you will receive a $20 gift card!!

Biodiversity Focus Group

Monday 30th October - 1 Flintoff Street Greensborough - 4:30pm to 5:30pm
This opportunity is for young people 12-25 years old.

We are inviting a small group of young people for a one-hour focus group about BIODIVERSITY. You will be asked to share your thoughts on how Council can support our local biodiversity. If you are interested in the environment, then this is a great opportunity for you.

In return for attending, you will receive a $20 gift card!
