Arts Centre Melbourne and Australian Music Vault present

Poster MakingJoin us for an immersive experience in the Vault!

The Australian Music Vault is a new exhibition at Arts Centre Melbourne that will celebrate the past, present and future of Australian contemporary music.

Delving into the extensive Australian Performing Arts Collection, objects will be on display for schools and the general public that will inspire and engage, telling the stories of the Australian music industry and its fans.

Starting with a guided tour of the Australian Music Vault exhibition, this workshop encourages you to explore the world of poster-making. Advertising live music through the poster – plastered down laneways and on lamp posts – has a long and dynamic history. The Australian Music Vault brings a wide collection of show posters to the public through the Australian Music Vault exhibition series. Inspired by the vibrant, energetic and memorable posters from the Australian Performing Arts Collection, you will use Photoshop to create your own poster to take home and hang on your bedroom wall.

This workshop is part of our Families Program and is designed to be a collaboration between a child and their parent/guardian. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Adults admitted free.
