Low Sensory Zone – The Nest

Located in the Macleod Community Hall BYS will provide a low sensory zone for young people and families looking for a quiet space to take a moment before they head back out into the excitement of the festival.

Resources that will be provided on the day include accessibility tools, comfy bean bags, dim lighting, noise cancelling headphones and a chilled tea station will be available for young people to access in this quite space.

Yarra Plenty Libraries and Headspace will join us in The Nest. The library will provide a ‘book nook’ encouraging library sign ups and book borrowing on the day, as well as facilitating a calico bag decorating activity. Headspace staff will be present in this space to support any wellbeing needs. As well as facilitating an origami art activity.
