Each Term, Banyule Youth Services run a range of in-person and online events & workshops for young people.

Immersive Worlds

Tuesday 2 April - Ivanhoe Library - 1pm to 5pm
This FREE event is for young people 12-25 years old.

Explore new worlds through table top & board games, Dungeons & Dragons, and switch on the BIG screen! This event is a partnership with Yarra Plenty Regional Library

Let's Dance - All Abilities Dance Party

Tuesday 2 April - Greenhills Neighbourhood House - 6pm - 8pm
This FREE event is tailored for young people with a disability aged 14-20 years.

Enjoy DJ's, Nintendo SWITCH Karaoke, glam glitter bar, art and craft activities, free refreshments & door prizes for best dressed!

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire

Wednesday 3 April - Hoyts Greensborough - 1:00pm - 4:00pm
This event is for young people 12-18 years old.
Cost: $8 including ticket and giftbag.


We have hired the whole cinema just for us! Watch the new movie as the ghostbusters join forces to fight supernatural forces and return to the original firehouse, where it all began.

$3 Slide Night

Friday 5 April - WaterMarc, Greensborough - 6pm to 9pm
This event is for young people 10-17 years old.
Cost: $3 for unlimited rides on Tantrum Alley and the Pipeline!


Unlimited rides on the Tantrum Alley & Pipeline Slide. Try your skills on the giant inflatable obstacle course, enjoy pool access and listen to the sweet beats of local upcoming DJs.

Attendees need to be competent swimmers or will require adult supervision

Pop-Up Skate Park

Saturday 6 April - Macleod Recreation & Fitness Center - 10am to 1:00pm
This FREE event is for young people 10-18 years old.

Join in for a skate with the YMCA crew at this popup skate event - all skill levels. Bring your board/scooter or you can borrow gear on the day.

This event is for young people aged 10 - 18.

Bookings essential & will be taken on the day

Shout It Out!

Saturday 6 April - Ivanhoe Library & Cultural Hub – 275 Upper Heidelberg Road, Ivanhoe - 6pm to 9pm -

Tickets are $10 and bookings essential!


Connect with other young people and enjoy a night of LGBTIQA+ performers, artists and market stalls, with dinner provided! This event is LGBTIQA+ young people and allies.

This event is strictly for young people aged 12 - 25.

Warhammer & Magic the Gathering

Tuesday 9 April - Watsonia Library - 1pm - 4pm
This FREE event is for young people 12-25 years old.

Learn or brush up on these popular table top gaming & card gaming systems. We have EVERYTHING you need to get you started - lots of freebies to take home.

Traditional Indigenous Games

Thursday 11 April - Barrbunin Beek Aboriginal Gathering Place 55 Catalina St, Heidelberg West - 11am to 12:30pm
This FREE event is for young people 10-17 years old.

Have a go at Traditional Indigenous Games, gaining a greater understanding & appreciation of Aboriginal culture. Traditional Indigenous Games are drawn from language groups from across Australia. The session includes a FREE pizza lunch!

Open to all young people from all backgrounds!


Outdoor Movie - Hunger Games: Ballard of Songbirds & Snakes

Friday 12 April - Watsonia Neighbourhood House -5:30pm - 8pm
- For ages 12-25 - Cost: $5 includes food

Enjoy watching the latest Hunger Games movie on a BIG screen in the beautiful garden surrounds. Free food included with a BBQ, snacks and a food truck with delicious crepes for everyone. We will have lots of rugs, picnic blankets & cushions but you can bring your own camping chair if you would like.
