The Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) is the central office that administers the application processes for places in tertiary courses, scholarships and the Special Entry Access Scheme at universities, TAFEs and independent tertiary colleges in Victoria. VTAC receives and forwards application information and supporting documentation to the relevant authorities at institutions.

Alternative Education

  • Disengaged from education and training. 
  • A willingness to participate in the model provided at the Pavilion. 
  • A willingness to work towards agreed educational goals.

Valley VCAL: Diamond Valley Learning Centre, Greensborough 
This VCAL program is ideal for students who want to study in small classes.  
Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs are available on site.  
Other programs offered include numeracy, professional skills development, literacy, computers and maths.

Vocational Pathways – Melbourne Polytechnic 
The Youth Unit at NMIT offer early school leavers and young people needing further career direction. VCAL, literacy and numeracy and vocational counselling are offered.   

Return to Education & Vocation Program
The REV program is available to young people who are either not attending school or at risk of being excluded from the school system. It aims to assist students develop pathways into the education system or into employment.
The REV program is available to young people between the ages of 15 and 17. They must be clients of the Austin Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service and be referred by their case manager.

The Victorian Skills Gateway is your one-stop-shop for vocational training in Victoria.

Melbourne Academy
To be eligible to enroll in the Melbourne Academy the student needs to:

  • be between 15–25 years of age

  • have not completed year 10, 11 or 12

  • willing to commit to class 5 days per week

  • be willing to travel to North Fitzroy, Braybrook, Sunshine or the CBD.
