When: Sat October 7, 2017 1.30pm - 2.45pm
Where: Bundoora Homestead, 7 Prospect Hill Drive, Bundoora, Victoria, 3083
Join leading artists Carly Fischer, Darren Sylvester, Hayley Millar-Baker and Ronnie van Hout for an investigation of the opportunities and pitfalls experienced by artists. Moderated by Curator Claire Watson, topics include keeping motivated, making ends meet, and working in isolation versus a community studio environment. Questions include: Is nepotism inescapable within the context of the Melbourne art scene? What are the ethics of working within institutions and how can you negotiate this terrain without compromising your artistic integrity? What should you do if your copyright is contravened or exploited?
This event is part of an afternoon of free events presented by Bundoora Homestead Art Centre exploring what it is to be a contemporary artist.
