Youth Advisory Committee Applications Now Open

The headspace Greensborough are looking for passionate young people aged 16 - 25 interested in joining their Youth Advisory Committee

This volunteer group meets once a month and plans activities and events aimed at young mental health awareness and advocacy. 

If you live, work or play in Nillumbik, Banyule or Whittlesea and have an interested in mental health and would like to get involved in community awareness raising and advocacy, we would love to hear from you.

Mananaging Exam Stress

Exam period is coming up at schools and tertiary institutions, which for many students means stress. 

There are ways to manage exam stress, and the internet is full of resources to assist with methods to manage stress. 

Check out the links below for some different tips and tricks on dealing with the exam period.






Meningococcal Vaccines

There is a new vaccine currently available for 15-19 years olds to cover against Meningococcal disease which covers against strains ACWY.   This vaccine is different to the Meningococcal C vaccine previously given.

Meningococcal disease can become very serious quite quickly and can result in death.  It is important to take advantage of this vaccine while it is free. 

All Secondary Schools are being offered a program for students to receive, however if you miss this at School, or haven’t had it at all, it is available at Council Public Sessions or your GP.

This vaccine will only be available FREE until the end of December 2017.

Beatmaking Undefeated

Want to lear how to make beats??

Beatmaking Undefeated is an 8 week workshop desigend to get you started using Ableton Live to make original compositions and beats, as well as to record and produce tracks. Whether you're a beginner or a seased rhythm warrior, this skill-share style workshop will enchance your understanding of beats, how you make them and how to use them in any genre from rap to folk to punk to experimental music. Even if you haven't made music before, Ableton makes it easy for you to get started, and Beatmaking Undefeated will show you how.


Computers, Ableton Live, Ableton Push controllers and a fully functioning studio will be provided.
