Scribe Nonfiction Prize for Young Writers

The Scribe Nonfiction Prize is for writers aged 30 or under working on longform work. Presented by Express Media and Scribe Publications, the prize welcomes entries from any area of nonfiction, including memoir, journalism, biography, essay and creative nonfiction.

The winner receives:

  • A cash prize of $3000
  • An editorial mentorship to develop their work
  • 25 new and soon-to-be-published books tailored to their interests.

Longlisted and shortlisted writers also receive manuscript assessments from the judging panel, and an invitation to an exclusive craft development masterclass in June.
