Banyule City Council is committed to involving residents in the development and implementation of Council policy, goals and strategies relating to environmental and sustainability issues. A number of ways are employed to ensure this occurs including through Banyule’s Environment Advisory Committee (BEAC).
BEAC was established in December 1995 as a formal Council advisory committee. BEAC’s role is to provide feedback and advice to Council to support its work in developing and implementing long term environmental policy, goals and strategies, and in commenting on the achievement of these.
BEAC meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month, from 6:30 – 9pm. Membership is for a two year period.
Applications of interest are currently being sought, with membership to commence from June 2017. To find out more about BEAC, visit here. To register your interest in participating in the committee, please apply here. Applications are now open and close March 15.
