BYE-NMIT hosts Drug Action Day

Drug Action Day at NMIT Heidelberg Campus
 
Concerned with the dangers that alcohol and drug consumption would have on their fellow students, a group of students at NMIT worked hard to organise a number of activites to raise awareness on the effects of drugs and alcohol.
The team of students invited a number of guest speakers to attend a class and speak on the effects of drugs and alcohol to enable students to see first hand how dangerous this type of behaviour can be.
"Our students learnt a powerful message that just because you might live in an area defined as disadvantaged, you don't have to follow previous patterns and can be proactive about changing your circumstances."
